Our future cities


Paul TullyPaul Tully, Technical Director, Landscape and Urban Design

Paul Tully, Technical Director, Landscape and Urban Design: Responsible for AECOM’s large NI urban design and landscape team, Paul has extensive experience in designing and project managing the delivery of public parks, urban and town centre public realms and regeneration schemes from inception to completion. He also oversees landscape and visual impact assessments for major road improvement schemes throughout NI, and has represented DfI Roads as expert witness at public inquiries.

Ed FramptonEdward Frampton, Associate, Landscape

Leading AECOM’s urban design projects across ROI, Edward’s experience includes delivering large scale mixed use schemes, residential developments and public realm design. Edward is a Civic Trust Awards Assessor and member of the Academy of Urbanism. For the past 10 years Edward has been involved in shaping and reimagining Cork’s future, and is currently involved in multiple regeneration developments at Cork docklands, including the public realm plan.

Trevor LeakerTrevor Leaker, Director

Trevor is a regional leader at AECOM in NI, overseeing work ranging from global projects for the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, to various ongoing projects for the Royal Group of Hospitals in Belfast. He is an award-winning architect, with a belief in innovative, eclectic and environmentally integrated design, from interior design to city-making. He is currently a member of the RSUA’s Design Quality Panel and an expert adviser to the NI government’s Ministerial Advisory Group.


John ORegan
John O’Regan, Director

John is regional leader in ROI for all of AECOM’s disciplines associated with buildings and places. John leads a team of over 100 consultants, delivering projects nationally from offices in Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork. As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and project manager, his experience ranges from commercial buildings for FDI clients, to large scale public sector and public-private partnership projects. John’s specialist skills include establishing the appropriate conditions for project success and early stage strategic cost and procurement advice.




Six steps towards improving infrastructure resilience


Beatriz Martinez PastorDr. Beatriz Martinez Pastor, Transport Planner

As a senior consultant within our transport planning team, Beatriz designs efficient and robust traffic networks. Recent projects include the National Road Strategy 2040 and National Secondary Roads Classification across ROI, helping to improve resilience. Prior to joining AECOM, Beatriz was an assistant lecturer within the School of Civil Engineering at University College Dublin after gaining a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.


John HumphreysDr. John Humphreys, Senior Consultant, Town and Transport Planning

John has over seven years’ experience in sustainable land-use and transport planning research and practice. He has in-depth knowledge of spatial and statistical analysis of travel and land-use data used to inform transport policy and strategy formulation. Using his expertise, he has helped deliver the Dunboyne Transport Strategy, TII Luas F Line Route Appraisal and TII National Roads 2040 Strategy.



How to avoid data centre planning delays


Shauna WoodsShauna Woods, Senior Planner

With over 10 years’ experience in planning, Shauna is responsible for a broad portfolio of AECOM’s public and private sector projects. She has comprehensive knowledge of both NI and ROI planning systems and has an excellent track record liaising with statutory authorities, government bodies and communities. She has helped deliver numerous notable projects, including Facebook's Data Centre and associated Strategic Infrastructure Development substation, Omagh Enhanced Local Hospital and Banbridge Masterplan.


Barry SheridanBarry Sheridan, Associate Director, Environment

Barry manages the delivery of AECOM’s environmental solutions across ROI including site selection, due diligence, planning, impact assessments, licencing and permitting across power, aviation and transportation. Barry has also worked on data centres in Scandinavia, the Middle East, and ROI where he managed the delivery of Facebook’s Clonee Data Centre Campus from site selection through to gaining planning approval. He has also managed the delivery of a Noise and Flight Track Monitoring System at Dublin Airport, the first of its kind in ROI.

Tomas KellyTomás Kelly, Director, Cost Management

As a chartered quantity surveyor, Tomás coordinates cost management service across our regional offices within ROI. Tomás heads up AECOM’s Irish Research Department which conducts internal research and projects commissioned by external bodies. His experience ranges from delivering health and education projects to commercial and industrial schemes, with clients including Health Service Executive, National University of Ireland Galway and Kennedy Wilson.


Jody WilkinsonJody Wilkinson, Project Director, Project and Cost Management

Jody has 16 years’ experience delivering project and cost management services in many sectors including leisure, tourism, commercial and retail. He is commercially aware with a good appreciation of how effective project management can assist with budgetary constraints. Recent clients have included Belfast City Council, BBC, Belfast Metropolitan College, EY, and Lisburn City & Castlereagh Council. 



Three ways to reduce water industry energy use


David McCuneDavid McCune, Director, Water, Ports and Power

As a Chartered Civil Engineer and project manager, David specialises in designing and managing water industry programmes in ROI, the UK and Middle East. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and is an ICE supervising civil engineer. David takes a keen interest in the professional development of staff, mentoring trainees and leading on the Work+ Apprenticeship Programme. He is currently a member of the Civil Engineering Industrial Liaison Panel at Ulster University.



How to build collaborative aviation teams


Derval CumminsDerval Cummins, Director, Transportation

Derval leads our transportation advisory services across UK and ROI. With over 30 years’ global experience delivering innovative solutions to transport clients, her capability spans economic and financial analysis, governance, risk management, customer service, contracting, operations, planning and engineering. She is currently working on strategic schemes for the National Transport Authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Dublin Airport Authority.
